X marks the spot - Calling all Pirates!!

Welcome Back Me Mateys!
I hope everybody had a great spring break!!! I'm excited to have everybody back.
We have a fun filled week ahead - we have reached the letter "X" in our alphabet and as we all know... X marks the spot for the pirate treasure.
That's right!!! Our preschool has been taken over by pirates. We have a fun filled week ahead with all kinds of Pirate fun. Be sure to read all the notes to make sure your child is prepared!!

PIRATE DAY

On Wednesday and Thursday we will be having a PIRATE DAY!!!
Be sure to have your little ones come dressed as a pirate!!!
We will also be making pirates ships with water bottles, so please bring in a water bottle (with the label removed) to school on that day.
The kids will have lots of fun making their own pirate ships along with going on a real treasure hunt with their very own treasure map. It will for sure be a memorable day for all the kids!!!

Pirate Ship Colors

Our Pirate Ships Colors game is a fun way to recognize color names. All around our class we will have pirates ships of different colors. I will hold up a color word and all the kids have to go to the ship of that same color.

Treasure Chest Counting game

We have a very fun center game this week for our Pirate theme! We have hidden around the room treasure maps and treasure chests. The only problem is that they are all mixed up!The kids will have to count the coins in each treasure chest and find the correct map that it goes with.

No School on April 21

Just a heads up that there will be no school on Monday, April 21.
My kids at Eduprize have this day off (I'm not exactly sure why... I guess it's the day after the passover).
Anyhow, I hate to have another missed day on Monday but I just am not a good teacher with all my kids at home!

Notes for week of March 10

Just a couple of quick reminders...

Spring Break is next week on March 17 - 21.

We are in need of some more Dr. Seuss pictures for the craziest place to read a Dr. Seuss book.

One last thing - if you want to go on the field trip to see "Horton Hears a Who" on Monday, March 24, we need all slips and payment in by Tuesday.
